Samantha Aldana is an award-winning Belizean-American artist based in Los Angeles. She is a multifaceted creator with experience in children's book illustration, painting, installation, and video art.

Her most recent children's book, Zoo Krewe (written by Kelly Murtagh), was published by Arcadia Publishing and is available at Barnes and Noble, Amazon, and many local bookstores across Louisiana. Her previous illustrated publications include Dragons of New Orleans (by Bruce Dear), Baseball is Cool (by Charles Dickerson), and A Bayou Tale (by Patrick Lane).

In addition to books, Samantha often works as a freelance artist creating individual watercolor portraits for clients. She also has experience as a muralist and large-scale abstract artist.

Samantha works with various materials, including watercolor, acrylic, gouache, oil, charcoal, ink, and digital art. In addition, she works in mixed mediums such as bookbinding, paper arts, sculpture, photography, and graphic design. As a result, she can quickly adapt her approach to clients' tastes and aesthetics.

When not making art, she volunteers as a teaching artist and private art teacher, particularly focusing on non-profit programs that aim to spread access to arts education and empower youth through art making.
